Something Great (mm 98) Steve Cournane 10/07/20
diads starting 9th fret
Bsus..../B add11../Asus add9../A add9../
He misread all the rules that they wrote
Lima musician’s picnic
Someone cheated in the kid’s sack race
In the end he just had to leave
Bm7….. /…../E….. /……/
Some crappy reason that he gave
E triad./ …..../ F#m11……/
But something great would come from you
And something great will do
Bsus..../B add11../Asus add9../A add9..
He was misled by a sacrificial goat –
the collection group called APDAYC
A big mistake he counted your money
Then that winter really humbled the place...
it froze the heart on his sleeve
Wasn’t much that could be saved
E triad./ …..../ F#m11…/……./
But something great would come from you
And something great will do
Will Do
Will Do
Will Do

A………/.………/G…….../B……../
Cause you made me want to be
A different kind of me
But a different kind of you
Didn’t want that that kind of me
E7 …./…….………………………………./A7……/……./
…………..So I got dressed up for you
A7 ……………………../…………………………………../F7……./……/
…………And then you dressed me down for free
E7 ……………………….../………………./.A7……./ F#7…… /……/
I should have never got so done up for you
Because you wanted me to re-arrange
Join you in your different age
But my different kind of brain
Didn’t want that kind of domain
E7.…./……..…………………………../A7………..…/.…………./
…………..So I got made up for you
A7 ……………………………../…………………………/F7……./……/
…………But then you left me up a monkey tree
E7 ……………………….../…………………/A7……./F#7…… /……/
I should have never got so made up for you
Cause it’s a different kind of scene
Up your monkey puzzle tree
Now it’s a different kind of view
Of a different kind of you

Alpaca Brothers Dunedin, New Zealand
All band photos by Alister Reid
Bruce Blucher (guitar) and Nick Wilkinson (bass) formed the
Alpaca Brothers in Dunedin 1984.
Named for their penchant for wearing a very similar style of alpaca jersey, but without a drummer, they roped in the services of Steve Cournane who still believes he may never have done a gig in his life if it hadn’t been for that unusual invite.
